When that amazingly stupid law passed in the US, one of the first targets was Neteller - at the time the leading provider for online gambling transfers. Part of the NA operation was housed in Edmonton, employing over sixty people. With the loss of the US part of its NA operations, Neteller decided the Canadian portion was no longer viable and closed its office. At the same time, it also decided not to support any transfers from Canadian accounts to pn-line poker sites (I could never get a sensible explanation from them for that business decision).
