Ebb and flow....hmm...interesting prospective. I am a huge advocate of omaha hi/low and I feel that it is my bread and butter when i REALLY need some money. At first, it does seem like bingo, but eventually your Ebb and Flow will become more honed as you see more hands. My advice if you want to truly develop your Omaha h/l game is to play a lot of Heads Ups. One thing I can tell you is that there are 32 low cards in a deck, meaning A,2,3,4,5,6,7,8 and there are 20 hi cards, meaning 9,10,J,Q,K. Therefore if you are in the beginning stages of learning the game, then low should be your target since you have a better chance of making a playable low hand than a high one. My advice is try it out and become a pro at the low aspect and then focus on high. My favorite hands are combinations of A-5 with a couple of high cards preferably suited.
