I Guess I've Pist Off The Poker Gods

So i took up PSO on their $100 promo for UB. They came thorugh quickly with their $50 and i had dreams of grandour of how i was going to turn that measly 50 into a decent bankroll and start playin online fulltime and make a profit at it instead of addictively playin 5000 man freerolls 5 times a day.

Was goin good for the first 3 hours. Cashed in some little sng's and tourneys, and was showin some profit playin ring games, but was gettin frustrated at how little i was accumulatin points towards the other $50 to be released from UB, so i stepped up to a different game in hopes of playin bigger pots. So i quit the side games and focused on one .50/$1 PL Omaha 8/better game, since i consider that game my specialty. Was playin good, winning some hands, losing some pots but only by suckouts, and was generally happy since i was makin points quickly. Then....

Im up to around $80 and im dealt AA23 double suited (which although is considered the best hand in omaha hi-lo i personally love AAJT better). Two limpers then a pot bet in front of me so i reraise pot and get called only by the original raiser. Which is good and bad. Definately had the nuts preflop, but a flop in this game can turn any hand into a loser quickly, and i knew it would be extremely hard to lay this hand down if a shitty flop came up. But i was blessed with a AK4 board, with two into a suit i had. I almsot shit myself!!! Almost a dream flop for my hand. Not only did i have the nuts again with my top trips, i also had the nut flush draw, and the nuts to scoop by winnin the low if a 5,6,7, or 8 came off. So when dude bet pot again i reraised puttin me allin but i was far from concerned when he called, until he turned over QQJJ. No problem i thought, gives him 3 outs to hit a straight and beat me. So of course the turn comes a ten, not my suit, but thats cool cause i now have 30 outs to either win or at least get my half back with a low (9 hearts; A for quads; K, T, or 4 for a boat; or 5,6,7,8 for low) Needless to say: i somhow missed em all when it rivered a non heart 9.

So he hits a 3 outter, and i miss a 30 outter. But what really makes me sick is the fact that he played his hand like it was fried gold. QQJJ is decent, but when youre up against someone who reraises you and has only been showing quality hands, you have to put em on aces or kings, so when the flop comes as it did you have to KNOW youre way behind, and not throw another 50 or so dollars away chasin a 4 out straight. Then he woulda had to dodge 16 cards to avoid having to split. So i dont know what hurts worse, having him catch up and beat me or losing to such a poor play. Its been a full day since that hand and im still sick.

So im building a shrine to the poker gods and will be sacrificing live donkeys and fish to it every night trying to win back their good graces before i make a deposit and go lookin for this guy.
