Huge hit at Winstar.

Ok, I had tonight lined out to head to Winstar, the wife said I could go and I could sleep in as late as I want tomorrow.

Well I got to winstar at about 6. Sat down at the 5/10 NL table for $2000 with one rebuy in my pocket.

I always splay ultra tight as I learn the table. so a couple of rounds go by and I notice the guy on my right always straddles and always hits the straddle for about 200 if anyone else is in the pot. about the fourth round I have black KKs of course I min raised the straddle bringing it to $40. Two callers and our hero makes it $600 to go. I smooth called, not sure why but I did. the caller folded, we are head to head.

Flop: As Kh 9s

Hero bets 250, I raised all in. Hero calls with Two red AAs for a set of As

wow, how unlucky am I?

Well, to make a long story short,

Turn: 2s

River: 4s


Walked out in less than an hour +$2,650

Played through the blinds and until the blinds got back to me. I got up as I think that is as good as a night can get. Already back home in Dallas.
