Default Friday night cash

I've been playing in the $60 buy-in 2K guarantee tournaments
at a local casino for a couple months now. These games are on
Friday, Saturday & Sunday at 6 pm. Made final table a few
times but never cashed. They pay 5 or more depending on how
many players. Last nite it was 65 players & paid 7. Well, got
to final table with a decent size stack. Seat 9 says let's pay
the bubble, so they took $20 from 1st, 2nd, & 3rd place,
now paying 8. I'm thinking that's nice but I really don't want
to be BUBBLE GIRL again.

So, short stack gets knocked out, 1 more to sweat to the money.
Then WEEEEEEEEEE 1 more out WE'RE IN THE MONEY.
But I'm still not happy with the bubble, I want more. And
then there were 7. Players were making very loose moves,
and coming up against better hands. I'm BB and see Q-Q.
Blinds are 5000/10000. Seat 10 only has 10000 left and
limps in {go figure}. Seat 2, sb, limps in. I go ALL IN.
Both call. Seat 10 has K-6s, seat 2 said he was priced in
and has J-3off ????? Well, my Q-Q hold up, and we're
down to 6.

To cut to the chase 2 more go out and there's 4 of us left.
We played and played. UTG bets 30,000, I go all in with
A-K off, total of 60,000. He calls with QcQd. Flop is
A-K-6 EEK all diamonds. Faded the turn, but 10 of diamonds
hits the river, and that's all she wrote. Guess diamonds
aren't always a girl's best friend.

So, bottom line, buy-in $60, cashed $259. Not too shabby
for a small tournament, and I FINALLY MADE THE MONEY!!!
