First cash on Carbon!

Since I am deposit adverse now I am trying to build a bankroll the old fashioned way - freerolls or playmoney tournies! Carbon has a deal for playmoney sng's called funstep 1, 2, 3 which placing in 3 10 handed sng's to finally win some real cash. The top 3 in the first funstep1 sng win tickets to play in a funstep2 sng where only the top 2 there win a ticket to the next funstep3 sng (3rd place gets a ticket back to another funstep1, sng) and then the winner of the funstep3 sng wins $1 real cash! (2nd place wins a ticket back to another funstep2 sng and third place back to a funstep1 sng). You can play them 24-7 I think. The first ticket to a funstep1 costs you $250 of a $5000 playmoney br that they give you that you can actually top off as it depletes x amount of times per day. Anyway I have gone up and down the ladder on couple of them so far and just now fianlly won the funstep3 sng for my first $1 real cash on Carbon - lol! Now my extended version of the game starts which is funstep4 = turning the $1 into $10k real cash like the Chris Fergusen challenge!

Update: With only a $1.00 you are limited to 2c-4c limit poker tables which allow a min buyin of 80cents while the 2c-4c no-limit tables require a min-buyin of $1.20. That is probably a good thing as I ran it down to 18c before running it back up to $1.21 on the limit table (slow go on a 2c-4c table unless you have an amazing run of cards with most calling you to a river showdown the way they do). The most I saw anyone leave with was a $1.40.

Anyway I now have my min-buyin for a 2c-4c no-limit table but I wonder if it actually is better to stay on the limit tables until I at least have 2-4 times the min-buyin on a no-limit table. In my mind I quickly double/triple up on the no-limit tables but reality is I could get sucked into a bad allin right away and then it is back to the funsteps! I will have to ponder that awhile...I did not see any hu tables for 2c-4c...hmmmm

Congrats on your FunStep score. I was gonna try that route if I could not win some money on freerolls. I won some on an OFC freeroll.
I have $5.57 on Carbon that I am saving for the next OFC buyin on
June 19th. If I do not cash, I might have to use the Funsteps as a backup to play on Carbon. I have funds on 9 sites so more than likely, I won't go the Funstep route anytime soon.
I, so cannot play good at limit poker. No limit poker is my gig. Not much better at no limit poker but better than limit poker.
