Usa vs canada

Hi All,
just wanted some clarification on the team usa game I played in sunday night.
there were some comments on there that stated we not playing as much as a team as canada, My impression is that team usa should be the team still standing when the game is over, is this not correct, or am I missing something.
I have not been able to play much lately, since I broke my lower back, but hope to get more involved as my injury heals, guess I just need to know if I am missing something.

yes you want team US to be one of the last ones standing but since you get points as of positions and are suppose to work as a team you want as many of your teammates at the final table as possible. If there is only one US player at the final table with eight other Canada players that 1st position and 1st points doesnt mean a thing cause their other eight places for points dominates your points. It is a great practice and warm up for any forum challanges and or the OFC but as I see it we failed big time. It seems to me that everyone is in it for the money and or money added which means they are in it for themselves, which we have plenty of other trnys for that. I know I folded plenty of good hands that I normally would play so that my team member could have the pot and who knows maybe it kept me from taking them out or viseversa. If there is a team mate of urs out there that is low stacked and its only team members in the hand maybe you should try helping that team member out by giving them the chips(yes folding to them) that is the object of team play is NOT to take out ur own player. I hope this helps to clarify things and hope everyone continues to play and have fun and win big

I understand this concept of team play - although it is very hard for me to do (that's why I play poker instead of bridge). I usually play many tournaments at the same time and Sunday, while in 3 games, I was trying to look up the list at the forum of who is on which team, and I had trouble finding it.

I finally had to give up looking for it because it was so distracting. It would be helpful if it was very clearly easy to find - or maybe emailed so I could print it to refer to? With a printed list, it would not interfere with play and I could at least TRY to do team stuffs.
