The rationale for the link was to have a quick way to see whats happening with your posts not to count.

The direct link would be nice. I would also like to see a thread to discuss new poker books, videos etc. I nearly bought a new poker book but decided against it when I read a few reviews on Amazon.

I would use the direct link. I also would frequent a premanent books, videos, thread. I do the same thing as jsaw and rely on amazon reviews so it would be interesting to see reviews from folks here. Also there are so many poker videos on the net now it would be great to have a filter here for the good ones.

If you want to keep yourself updated as to whats happening with your posts, you can always go to "USER CP > Edit Options" and change your 'Default Thread Subscription Mode' to subscribe to threads in which you have posted and receive email notifications whenever anyone posts in those threads.
