I've missed some big rake freerolls. Usually 5k freeroll monthly and you get all ready for it and they bump you after missing 5-10 minutes. Its enough to make you sick. I guess the lesson is anything free in this world comes with stipulation. I think its great when I have gotten to play and you could see hundreds of people bumped for missing it. So it works both ways.

I was a bit upset a couple times myself, allways nice to know these things.

In real money tournaments they cannot remove players from the table for being idle. Since they might be experiencing connection problems and have paid an entry fee, they have the right to stay at the table until they are eliminated.

In freeroll tournaments, at the beginning of the event absent players have a ten minute time frame to rejoin the event. If they do not show up, they are eliminated. However, if you start playing a freeroll event and decide to sit out, you will be kept in the event until you have been blinded out.
