When you called ole Eric Bluff Boy, I have to confess I cracked a big smile.....although I wish you had called him that hand as I sense that your initial intuition might have been valid.

Its almost impossible to win an event of this quality wire to wire and you almost pulled it off.

Congratulations guys and gals!! What an awesome effort! Proud to be a part of it even though I placed crappy. Got up at 5am to play both and lasted about an hour and a half in each. Bad beats both times to knock me out grrrr.

Congrats everyone. Thanks for makin me proud that the only forum im on is pretty damn cool. Now i can tell everyone i know how vicariously cool i am. Can i buy a NDB hat somewhere?

My gut was telling me he was bluffing. My gut is usually pretty good. At that point though it wasn't worth the risk. I would rather let him think I am a weak player and use it to my advantage when I KNOW I have the nuts. There were a few times he was Bluff Boy though.
I keep replaying that last hand over and over in my head. Being it was 3 handed I would always think my QK is a great hand. I NEVER saw him sitting there holding AA that is for sure. Wish my gut would have sniffed that one out. I think my pride got in the way in that hand. It seems to be one of the things as a player I am struggling with. We get into these hands and begin to think we are indestructible. I am working on slowing down and actually saying what the nuts are prior to betting a hand. Dumb I know but it actually helps.

Next time I am going all the way though!!!
