I'm guessing it'll be a few days 'till Texans are back online.

From ABC news, first some good news:

But the storm surge that forecasters feared could top 20 feet averaged only about 13 feet, according to the National Weather Service. In Galveston it only hit 11 feet.

But a bit of bad news for the entire state:

Ike moved over Houston just as dawn broke, still a Category 2 storm. Nearly 3 million customers were without power across southeast Texas, officials said.

Im assuming she stayed at home and didn't go somewhere.

I talked to Jenn and shes ok .she didnt go no where yet but her area isnt hit bad she just has no power and might be a cpl days without power. when I get more info I will keep you posted

Great to hear she's ok. Although I was keeping my eye on the news and heard that thankfully, her area wasnt hit so bad.
