Sometimes it seems like you can put your money in as a big favorite 10 times in a row and lose every time. I don't think it is just UB. I believe all sites programming is done in such a way as to increaase rake. 1 way to do that is have more bad beats happen. most bad beats are given by bad players. Therefore the sites use this to keep the bad players around at the expense of the better players so the bad players get to play many more hands then they should.. thus generating more rake for the site and bringing up site profitability.

I think it is just more the nature of no-limit to see more bad beats (then in limit for example) and not something the sites are doing in their programming code. WHen tight players get beat by loser players alot of times it invloves a bad beat over a big pot. I get them wherever I play, home game, casino, and online. To increase rake the sites just pay some people to play to keep bodies on the tables attracting more bodies - the casino's have always done the same thing.

It would be interesting if someone had actually conducted a statistical analysis of the hand outcomes on poker sites. For example, and A should hit the board roughly every 2.4 hands. Checking the number of suited flops, runner runner hands etc. against known probabilities would demonstrate if the table (so to speak) was fair. Anyone know of any such research?
