I agree with Coach completely. Great book, but gearded more towards high stakes players, and maybe a bit outdated. Dont believe it try playin with just his system (or hellmuths, or chans, or any big stake players) at a $3/$6 table nowadays. To me it seems like a high percentage of players are only playing for the rush of bluffing someone out of a pot, of callin down any raises with bottom pair trying to hit trips or two pairs, or going runner runner on somebody. Sure these players dont usually walk away winners after a session, but they make it extremely hard to grind out with a set system and profit consistently. Used to be when i used to grind it out many years ago, i could take 200 into a game, play for ten hours and walk away with 500. Consistently. The few times ive done it since the new wave ive been shocked at how hard it is to cash out a winner using the old school systems. Is it just me or is it a whole new game out there nowadays?
