Default Addvice from the Pros

Some years ago )well actually many years ago), I took a course on casino gambling and how to detect cheaters. The hosts - were a shift boss, pit boss, and speciialist on casino games from various Vegas gaming houses.

At the end of the course, a number of the participants and our teachers sat down to have a few drinks. All the Vegas reps. agreed the only game they would play was craps because the house advantage was so small - against a skilled player about 1.44 %. The house advantage was so limited that if a player only played the line, the house would resort to tactics from having a shill bump the player to having a cocktail waitress accidently spill a drink on the player.

Roulette and slots they conisdered "old ladies games," and Black Jack (discounting card counters), a game for fools.

Poker was game they all played, but all said only in private games without a rake.

Very true

Do you think this might explain how the same locals are seated at the same medium stakes tables every day?

People complain about the random hand creators but rarely is there a mention of the ultra house tool the shill

Not sure if you are referring to brick and mortar or online sites. Live casinos employ house players, when necessary, to keep a game going. Some online reportedly use Bots; I suspect others may employee house players.

The brick and mortar and online sites use this ploy not just to keep the games going but to build pots and thus their resulting rakes.

And there used to be sites that would pay players to be act for their accounts..not sure if they are still around or how well they paid relative to their promises.
