Question Team Play?

I'm wondering if anyone knows where I can find a Team Play stratergy? I'm especially interested in the earlier team play rounds.

Not sure what you mean. Team play in poker? Is that allowed?

Probably some of those forum promotions like "Forum Wars," where you play in teams - rarely with define rules of conduct and quite frankly a general waste of time. The only exception are games like the contest between countries where 5 or six Pro players are selected to rep a nation. One of these players then sits at a table and plays the reps. from the other countries. The strategy in those cases is to pair your reps. against the other players to your advantage.

Yes the forum War is one example. The reason I was asking is because I'll be playing in a Gents vs Gals tourney. In the past I've played in some of these tournys and during play, when a player knocks out a teammate they are often criticizes for being selfish. I've even seen where players will fold Pk A n K so as not to knockout a teammate. Team play usually goes out the window at the final table, but during the earlier rounds your expected to fold strong hands if it will bust a teammate. I just wanted to get some feedback regarding these types of tournys.

if there is not team reward ie money prize why do u care if ur team wins

Yes, they are buy-ins and the winning team receives a $300 freeroll. The freeroll will have about 15 players.

well then u will have 2 goals to do well individually and for ur team to do well
there will be times these goals are at odds so u have to figure out which will
get u more money in the long run

in my opinion this tournament is coneceptually flawed

ninixnini, your feedback is greatly appreciated. Yes, these type of tournys are flawed. I join them more too support the forum than for anything else.
