ya thx n2k now the first hand i could see grind opening like that with ak-aq-jj just to take down the pot with no confrontation, but your right early in tourny really not worth it at all to take the chance there even if he did have AK i still think theres better spots to get the money in was just my thinking altho when he re raised to 600 or something like that i knew i was screwed but with about 2/3 my stack in it would of been a questionable fold. Now the AA i regreted as soon as i clicked the call button, i said to my self if there is no raise and any limpers ur done with the hand sure enough theres a limper at 300/600 not my idea of limping stakes but hey i dnt think like everyone else and it paid off so just my mishap it wasnt the kind of game u ever limp A's no matter how high the blinds, but im adjusting coming back to tournies and game is startin to shape back up

dam i must be getting big if i have followers who just watch hoping ill lose or screw up can u say Phil Ivey Status thnx for boostin my ego a little bean i was getting down on myself but as long as i have people willing to watch me play who i have no idea who they are must be a good thing. can i get a little more info on this hand i supposedly sucked out on. Then "u play marginal hands" and "its a shame ap rewards ppl like you" hmmmm those are two pretty bold statements to make if you watched me play one time. This means your watching me on multiple occasions? wow and i thought my life sucked. But seriously your right i have been playing like shit as of late and ap doesnt reward shit play its just like any other poker site or poker room it rewards correct decisions which I just cant seem to focus in on. now playing marginal hands thats not one of my problems and calling an all in with nothing just seems made up or it was a freeroll or something but even then im not convinced. Ahhh whatever why do i even bother, I take criticism very well but really, getting called a donk and making claims out of thin air I just dont see the point in the post. It doesnt help me, doesnt help you, if you were tryin to get personal i couldnt care less considering my stats at pretty much any site speak for themselves whats your screen name? just curious
I should just come to your place of work or house and call you a donk mr. Paul Dunn who works at 13241 Woodland Park Rd, Herdon, VA. Man your business allow poker to be played at work i might just have to give them the heads up Paul sorry if it causes any trouble just dont want to see anyone get injured on the job due to some lazy guy playin poker all day Last edited by UIIIU; 10-06-2009 at 09:02 AM. |

I think before you blame AP you should look deep inside yourself.. Sure some were nasty beats but you played some of those hands just awful.. If you keep pushing A9 os in early position I really don't think you should come crying about AP..K Q with action is a throw away hand.. If you stop playing garbage you will probably see fewer or you so called "bad beats"..and you will see that when you stop relying on luck your results will improve.. Just my 2 cents worth.

i agree alby some of those hands were played pretty bad but the a9 with 1400 in chips and blinds at 200/400 if i didnt make a move i would have been blinded out anyways, mine as well go out swinging rather than give myself no chance. Obviously i wasnt looking for a confrontation with a9 against aj but if i got away with the steal or even was up against 22-88 i would have been happy with the play. I dont know could be my play catchin up to me or something, ive always won money with over 200k hands played there altho alot less recently and alot less success so could i be doing something differently definitely and do i appreciate feedback good or bad of course i do. I dont know im just not used to losing so maybe i am doing something different playing on tilt or something who knows, i do tend to extend my cold streaks. Im confident ill get back on track hell ive only dropped like 150 since i went up 1500 in august just need to get back on track maybe decrease my vp$ip and just play str8 up poker untill i get my confidence back and my decision making skills increase, i tend to make bad decisions when i doubt myself but ill never regret stabs at the pot or take down bets that go wrong i think its a HUGE part of the game that is often over looked by many, now the hands im calling downs are the hands that need aadjusting. I would say the AA and the qq against grind were the two big ones. The kq in sb with 300 in with 2 ppl calling implied odds were huge and like i said before the A9 i was low stack big time and i had to pick a spot considering i can go hours without seeing better hands i feel it was the right decision just an unlucky one altho really i can only expect to take that hand down around 30-40% of the time, which if i waited any longer the odds with any hand i get would have been hugely decreased. Also not crying just wanted some constructive criticism and i do appreciate the input alby alot more informative then beantown but i just really dont feel like those would have been the 2 hands i would of changed. Yes tournies are about surviving but you have to realize the majority of the prize pools in mtts are in the top 3 so if im folding these hands and do happen to make the money my chances of winning the money needed to be a successful mtt player is greatly diminished atleast in my opinion which is what it is
