Default Ouch

Rewarded was right! I remember him chasing me down to the river and getting lucky also. Of course when I chased a low, I struck out and was punished by losing most of my chips. Well deserved and knew better. You'll catch him next time Jenn!

Its bad beat but with no information for the hand its hard to judge how bad of a play it really was. So many factors play out how he should have played open ended draw to a rainbow board on flop with 2 overs. Next time post the hand history.

well u really dont need furthur information to tell this was a donk move. First off i didnt see it go down but familiar with jen as a player heres how it more than likely went down. Timmy more than likely limped but i have had him play some junk aggressively so its possible he doubled or went 3x the bb but regardless i have a feeling jen made a raise on whatever happened atleast with AP its always a good idea to play AA overly aggressive pre. Now tim called this bet and the flop came down. Now jen more than likely threw out a bet of 2/3 to pot sized possibly more but no less. Then timmy calls making this the second bad move in the hand. Heres where it gets tricky. On the turn im guessing it was around another pot sized bet maybe a bit more but im not sure anyways timmy makes the third unprofitable call. now on the river i myself would have probably put timmy on some junk hand like qj-aj and would bet again which im guessing jen did and timmy either called a jen all in or pushed on her and he got paid for his terrible plays. Wouldnt have put him on the str8 draw after he makes all those bad calls to pursue it

and honestly no matter how jen played this hand it was a dumb move on timmys part 89 off no matter how you play it will lose money in your lifetime. To a rock type player like jen which is perfect for these games something i have a hard time adjusting too, hard time containing my aggression when i play the NDB games but anyways up against raises from jen with 89 your implied odds would have to be huge to pursue the hand and simply put i can almost guarentee that timmy played that hand almost as unprofitably as possible

The key to this hand is that it is limit.

BB and SB = 120

TT calls with 98 off suit - a marginal hand, butit is his style
Pot = 200
Frank getting 5 to 1 odds calls.
Pot= 240.

Jenn raises to 160
Pot = 400

TT calls getting 5 to 1 odds.
Pot = 580
Frank calls getting 6+ to 1 odds
Both are automatic calls given the odds.

Pot + 640

Flop

Jenn raises - 160
Pot = 820

TT has a straight draw 5+ to 1 odds and pot odds of 4.89 to 1
and calls

Pot 960

The 6 on the turn puts a full house possibility in play

Jenn bets 160
Pot 1120

TT calls getting 7 to 1 odds and lucks out.

Is it a donk play, not really he had the pot odds thoughout the hand (the problem with Limit) and unless he put you on 10,10 or J,J post flop his call was reasonable. After the 6 appears on the turn, his pot odds are so good it is worth a call. The only part that is questionable is drawing to the weak end of a straight.
