I have no problem with UIIIU, but I would make this play again (blind) in a heart beat given my read.

I mean if pot odds were everything, you would have to fold most hands to an all in, every time.

If I didnt have a read, or if I thought I was behind, pot odds would dictate what I would do. However, I was fairly confident (and totally wrong) that I was ahead with middle pair, so if I was ahead in the hand my pot odds did dictate a call.

I mean, all respect pro, but in retrospect its easy to say I didnt have pot odds but you actually know my opponents hand, I didnt. I had him on a range of hands that I had beat, so therefore I had the odds to call if my assumption was correct (it wasnt)

But, UIIIU, you played the hand correctly. Thats the important thing. You didnt do anything wrong at all and got unlucky. Sorry dude.

Well with all respect, ldj, there are so few hands u can actually beat here and knowing UIIIU's style I don't see him pushing into 2 players for ALL his chips with bottom pair or any gutshot draws (lol). Im just curious what made u come to the conclusion that you was ahead in the hand. getting 1.5 to 1 you need to be right about 85% of the time to make the call and I just dont see that being the case AT ALL!

I could reply to that, but I dont see what can be gained by going into more detail except potentially pissing off UIIIU

Hey Ill be the first one to admit i make mistakes everyday of my life no matter how good or bad im playing/running, and if someone calls me out on it ill give it a look over no matter what my opinion is on the hand and not only give the odds a closer look but have someone else i trust to look at it from another prospective. Honestly I did blow up a bit yesterday just frustrating when you cant pin point your leaks Ill admit it im playing badly i can not find where the problem is right now but variation cant explain the streak im on so ill keep looking. As for calling LDJ out thats a mistake on my part i could care less about how people play in tournies and really cant be mad because he made a call that favored me pokers a game of decisions and id say that one was + 1 in my book, but it was just 1 and nothing more. Im not here to criticize anyone and believe me it will be the last time saying anything that is just to slander another player and it was completely un productive so LDJ i do owe you an apology I have no right to tell you how to play and it was a scum bag move for me to say anything considering its a $5 game and ppl are just out there to have fun, I just get carried away in competition Im not one to take losing very well whether its poker or any other game, I remember when i was younger I spent pretty much every day for two months playing checkers because I lost in a little family tournament. Have not done it again since but I know if checkers comes up again in my lifetime ill have a dam good shot of getting a win. So again sorry LDJ I was just looking for someone to throw blame on, when infact that hand means nothing when you look at the grand picture and truely i need to look within myself

I dont feel that you owe me anything UIIIU

I would be lying if I claimed I never blew up over a hand.

I made a call based on the dozen or so hands I had seen u play so far in the game, made an erroneous decision based on that info which led me to make a call followed by a suckout to win the hand.

If anything you played that hand brilliantly and got punished for it.

I could maybe help you with some of your other hands, but for this one I think you outplayed me.

I still dont think I made an incorrect decision based on the info I had, but once the cards went on their backs I saw I had been outplayed.

edited to add:

my bad, I should say I accept your apology although I dont think you owe me one, and that we should just shake hands and move forward

I only think you played one hand 'crazy' its the AQ hand where you lost 50% of your stack postflop without improving your hand at all. Actually maybe there was one other where you open bet like 30% of your stack in then folded to a min raise.

I just thought I had you pegged as playing your big hands real fast and hard and seeing flops with raggy cards cheap. SOmetimes you bet hard preflop and when the board came rags you cbetted which I took as a big hand, other times you saw a flop cheap and in those cases you only shoved on a rag board which I took to mean the rags hit you.

Your play led me to believe you were folding trash, betting blackjack hands hard, and seeing cheap flops with mid suited connectors and 1 or 2 gappers

However, you showed down very very few hands which did make it tough for me to define your range. Sometimes you made a big bet then folded to a reraise, other times you merely just shoved and took the pot uncontested.

People usually shove all in like that when they dont want to be called -- either cuz they fear a suckout, or they fear they are behind. Or because they are tilting, and you were tilting last night for sure.

You shoved me off of several mid PPs preflop through the course of the game, so I waited til I saw a spot where I thought I had an advantage and called you down.

Again, I dont think you were crazy, but I saw a pattern in your play, or thought I saw a pattern and tried to exploit it.

At no point did I say this dudes playing bad, I just tried to analyze what was happening and then make use of it. But your tilting did play a part in my calling you

well i agree with what my starting hands were in that tourny i opened up my range a bit because i felt i was getting a little too predictable and just wanted to maximize the mistakes i could exploit, now for all the shoving, well im not sure it was tilt i got stuck around 10bbs for a while where im not gonna be limping in pots and really dont have enough chips to follow up a pre flop bet around 3x the bb. But hey you put me on a hand where u thought u were ahead apparently i was giving off a very lose image at the table wasnt aware people were percieving my play as that loose, but you put me on a hand and went with your gut if thats what you truely thought i really cant argue the play and this thing is water under the bridge as far as im concerned

the tilt thing I got from your cursing AP and UB lol

You outplayed me that hand UIIIU. If that makes you feel any better, you got me to get my chips in bad and thats really what winning poker is all about. Getyyour opponent to misread a situation and then take advantage, which is exactly what you did.

Too bad the turn and the river got int he way.
