Three horrible plays, three bad beats - all of which underscore the changing nature of NLH. Drawing odds, pot odds etc. seem to have less and less meaning and the shove and hope style seems to be on the increase. In part, I believe this is a direct result of the playing style of many European players, who regularly will call or go all in with they hold two suited cards and two of their suit hits the flop. The idea is to get all their money in on any situation where the odds are about "even.".

The call with Q,10 hand to a straight draw is another example of this type of play - although usually as an all-in bet rather than a call. Unfortunately, these players tend to wreak havoc until eventually the odds catch up to them.

see saw i used to think the same thing the odds must catch up now im not really talking about lunars hands specifically but the fact of the matter the reason why super aggressive players can win a good amount in this game is because of the insane fold equity they are getting i would say most moderate to good players play pretty tight i feel i fall under that category most of the time but do vary anyways now throw these super aggro players in the mix now alot of them will go broke but some will go on huge wins streak simply because of all the dead money they are making by forcing folds not my style but i cant fault some for trying it

the game is changing too people i would say are getting better or i am getting worse who knows but all im saying as these ppl get better they are more inclined to fold moderate hands to huge raises and shoves which jeopordizes tourny life (which solid players know is crucial) which is why this super aggressive style seems to be on the rise playing off the solid players who can fold hands
